On the 8th of May, the 2019 edition of the ACCI\u00d3 F\u00f2rum d’Inversi\u00f3 took place for the 4th consecutive time. A total of 650 persons attended to listen to 21 startup pitches divided into 3 categories: life and health sciences, ICT, and other technologies. In addition, a session entitled TECH DEMO took place where Michele Manca, researcher at Leitat, presented a new technology for smart dynamic windows called SUNDACING.<\/p>\n

SUNDANCING aims to develop a new generation of smart dynamic windows capable of intelligently responding to daily and seasonal sunlight variations, in such a manner to reduce (up to 35%) the energy consumption for HVAC (Heating, ventilating and air conditioning) and artificial lighting while guaranteeing at any time the maximizing visual and thermal comfort.<\/p>\n

After listening to the pitches, the public voted to choose the 9 finalists, who had 5 minutes to expose their projects to the panel of investors. Out of these emerged the winning startup with the greatest potential for international growth.<\/p>\n
