On the 17th of June at 10:00, the LIFE FLAREX<\/a> project is organising a stakeholder webinar about Advances in the Substitution of Hazardous Flame Retardants Chemicals in Home Textile.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The aim of this webinar is to present the key findings and outcomes from the LIFE-FLAREX project and open a debate on the implementation of hazardous chemicals\u2019 substitution strategies and opportunities for the textile industry, in particular for flame retardants (FRs) used in textile finishing processes and other ongoing trends that are applicable to the sector.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The webinar\u2018s objectives are:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  1. Present<\/strong> key findings from the LIFE-FLAREX project as a case study aimed to find sustainable alternatives to FRs based on halogenated compounds and antimony.<\/li>\r\n
  2. Discuss<\/strong> main findings with international experts and increase<\/strong> stakeholders\u2018 engagement.<\/li>\r\n
  3. Inform<\/strong> the textile industry about policy advances and new approaches.<\/li>\r\n
  4. Collect<\/strong> industry feedback about a pressing topic.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    The webinar is free of charge. Registration is required for participation. Note that capacity is limited and registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
