Two of these projects include a new method for the non-invasive diagnosis of colorectal cancer, which will enable more effective diagnoses and help avoid unnecessary colonoscopies, and a new urinary probe model designed to increase patient comfort and reduce the number of infections. These projects originate from Catalan public hospitals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CIMTI is an organization formed through an agreement between the Health Department, the Catalan Health Quality and Assessment Agency (AQuAS), Fundaci\u00f3n LEITAT, and the Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology (CIMIT) in Boston. Its mission is to promote projects with global social and health impacts, stemming from Catalan research centers, hospitals, and primary healthcare centers.
