LOPEC is an International Exhibition and Conference for the Printed Electronics Industry, which took place this year from April 5\u20137 in Munich (Germany). This is a fair and an annual conference of international renown focused on printed electronics.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this edition, Maziar Ahmadi and Lorenzo Bautista, researchers at LEITAT, presented an innovative stand to show different demonstrators ordered according to the value chain of printed electronics: new nano-materials, electronic inks, printed substrates, devices, and modules ranging from organic photovoltaic solar cells and thermoelectric modules to energy storage systems such as printed supercapacitors or microbatteries. It is electronic technology for high speed, high accuracy, and low cost, printed on flexible substrates such as polymeric films, metals, textiles, or paper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Printed electronics is considered one of the key technologies for future global multi-sector technological development, including the technical textiles sector, in completely innovative applications. At LOPEC 2016, 148 exhibitors from 18 different countries attended, representing an increase of 11% over the previous year. The most represented countries were Germany, the USA, the UK, and Japan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">LEITAT, a member of the OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association), was the first Spanish exhibitor in the history of the fair, which was attended by over 2,000 visitors from around 40 different nationalities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6063 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/leitat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/lopec2016_prototypen.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1472\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/leitat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/lopec2016_prototypen.jpg 1472w, https:\/\/leitat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/lopec2016_prototypen-300x82.jpg 300w, https:\/\/leitat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/lopec2016_prototypen-768x209.jpg 768w, https:\/\/leitat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/lopec2016_prototypen-1024x278.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1472px) 100vw, 1472px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An article regarding this matter was published in the AEQCT Newsletter, the Spanish association of textile chemists and colorists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LEITAT recently presented at LOPEC 2016 at a stand its latest research results and technological development in the field of printed electronics.
