Key achievements included the launch of field trials for biochar application and the completion of optimization in bioelectrochemical methane production, paving the way for pilot testing with real gas effluents.<\/p><p><strong>On the second day, the second Stakeholders Workshop was held, where experts shared insights on biomass conversion technologies, hydrogen separation from syngas, CO\u2082 capture, and the integration of advanced biofuels into the steel industry<\/strong>. These discussions reinforced Net-Fuels\u2019 commitment to developing sustainable solutions and innovative pathways to reduce the carbon footprint.<\/p><p>Leitat had the opportunity to present its progress during the meeting. Simone Colantoni shared the latest results of the lab-scale Bioelectrochemical Methanation (BEM) Unit, detailing the next steps for the construction and validation of a pilot capable of removing 50 L\/day of CO\u2082 from real gas effluents. Maria Vega, meanwhile, shared information about the upcoming deliverable, \u201cReport on the construction, performance, and optimization of BEM reactors,\u201d which will be publicly available soon.<\/p><p>During the Stakeholders Workshop, Simone Colantoni highlighted the potential of BEM technology, presenting case studies and results from various Leitat projects.
