This material exhibits excellent conductivity due to its intrinsic microstructure (ion-conductive channels separated by microphases) while being chemically and mechanically robust. Furthermore, this material is widely used in the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">catalyst layer<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">microporous transport layer<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> located between the electrode and the reactive gas flow field, and the electrodes that form the electrolyser or fuel cell.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Currently, no commercially viable alternative possesses the physical and chemical characteristics as desirable as fluoropolymers.
