The event was an opportunity to review the <strong>work done so far and coordinate the next steps of the project<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Four colleagues from Leitat took part in the meeting to present their contributions within Work Package 6 (WP6). <strong>Laura Batlle<\/strong> and <strong>Gabriela Benalc\u00e1zar<\/strong> shared updates on the development of Heat Transfer Fluids (HTF) for their use in Thermal Energy Storage (TES) systems. <strong>Eloy Mi\u00f1ano<\/strong> and <strong>Daniel Checa<\/strong> presented their work on assessing the environmental and social impacts of the project.<\/p><p>As part of the meeting, the consortium visited the facilities of <strong>KAUMAN<\/strong>, a Galician partner of the project where the results will be integrated. Galicia was chosen as the demo-site location due to its strong geothermal potential.<\/p><p><strong>GeoS-TECHIS<\/strong> (Geothermal Source Thermal Energy for Cooling and Heating in Industries) is a research initiative focused on <strong>improving geothermal energy integration into industrial heating and cooling systems<\/strong>. The project explores the use of medium-depth geothermal resources combined with heat pump technologies to reduce carbon emissions in industrial applications.
