Partners shared updates on the development of <strong>cellulose-based coatings<\/strong> for packaging that enhance oil and grease resistance, as well as <strong>silane-based hybrids<\/strong> for textiles offering improved water and oil repellency.<\/p><p>Key discussions included progress in <strong>bio-based coating formulations<\/strong>, aiming to strike a balance between functionality and cost-effectiveness. The consortium also explored the use of <strong>computational modeling<\/strong> to optimize toxicology assessments and support regulatory compliance, reducing dependency on traditional testing methods.<\/p><p>Collaborative sessions addressed <strong>technical challenges<\/strong> in packaging and textile applications, with preliminary results indicating steady progress toward <strong>environmental and performance targets<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>Leitat<\/strong> presented its latest work on <strong>PFAS-free treatments<\/strong> for packaging and upholstered textiles. These innovations represent a significant step forward in sustainable materials development. Leitat also introduced upcoming activities in the <strong>textile value chain validation phase<\/strong>, alongside continued improvements to its <strong>water- and oil-repellent
