Segons xifres del 2019 <em data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"634\">K. pneumoniae<\/em> \u00e9s la responsable directa de 650.000 morts cada any al m\u00f3n.<\/p><p data-start=\"698\" data-end=\"1587\">A trav\u00e9s d\u2019aquesta proposta, s\u2019obtindran resultats que permetin superar barreres per a la comercialitzaci\u00f3 de noves solucions per protegir la poblaci\u00f3 vulnerable. Vaxdyn aporta al projecte la vacuna K-Vax, desenvolupada gr\u00e0cies al suport de l\u2019acceleradora internacional CARB-X. Aix\u00ed mateix, s\u2019esclariran aspectes clau del mecanisme d\u2019acci\u00f3 i qualitat per poder dissenyar els assaigs cl\u00ednics d\u2019efic\u00e0cia en humans que permetran llicenciar la vacuna a empreses farmac\u00e8utiques. Per a aix\u00f2, Vaxdyn comptar\u00e0 amb el suport del Centre Nacional de Microbiologia de l\u2019ISCIII, el centre tecnol\u00f2gic Leitat, l\u2019Institut de Parasitologia i Biomedicina L\u00f3pez Neyra del CSIC i els laboratoris Reig Jofre. La soluci\u00f3 via vacunaci\u00f3 consisteix a dotar la poblaci\u00f3 vulnerable d\u2019immunitat refor\u00e7ada per la vacuna per contenir la disseminaci\u00f3 de <em data-start=\"1521\" data-end=\"1536\">K. pneumoniae<\/em> sense la necessitat de rec\u00f3rrer als antibi\u00f2tics.<\/p><p data-start=\"1589\" data-end=\"2292\">L\u2019altra pota fonamental de la millora de la gesti\u00f3 cl\u00ednica est\u00e0 relacionada amb el diagn\u00f2stic. En aquest projecte l\u2019empresa granadina Clover Biosoft validar\u00e0 una eina per al diagn\u00f2stic ultrar\u00e0pid de la infecci\u00f3 per <em data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"1819\">K. pneumoniae<\/em>, lligada a la caracteritzaci\u00f3 de la soca responsable. D\u2019aquesta manera es podran prendre decisions cl\u00edniques de tractament m\u00e9s primerenques i amb m\u00e9s informaci\u00f3. A m\u00e9s, el Centre Tecnol\u00f2gic Leitat desenvolupar\u00e0 una eina d\u2019immunodetecci\u00f3 amb microflu\u00eddica integrada per controlar tant l\u2019estat de la infecci\u00f3 com la resposta a la vacunaci\u00f3.
