{"id":73062,"date":"2025-08-20T11:08:51","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T11:08:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leitat.org\/?p=73062"},"modified":"2025-08-28T11:09:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T11:09:11","slug":"trampoline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leitat.org\/en\/blog\/trampoline\/","title":{"rendered":"TRAMPOLINE-"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"73062\" class=\"elementor elementor-73062 elementor-73061\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9514303 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"9514303\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b02a01a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b02a01a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"53\" data-end=\"156\"><em>A training programme to promote the industrial adoption of microbial electrochemical technologies<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"53\" data-end=\"156\">\u00a0<\/p><p data-start=\"158\" data-end=\"173\"><strong data-start=\"158\" data-end=\"171\">Abstract:<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"175\" data-end=\"666\">TRAMPOLINe- is a joint academic-industrial interdisciplinary initiative with the primary goal of training a group of young researchers in the field of microbial electrochemical technologies (METs), while also developing innovative, ready-to-apply solutions to address global environmental challenges, including the contamination of the remaining freshwater sources, unsustainable production processes, anthropogenic CO\u2082 emissions, and the transition towards a renewable energy environment.<\/p><p data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"1009\">The main objective of TRAMPOLINe- is to form a collaborative network that (i) connects leading researchers in the core MET disciplines with SMEs and large companies, (ii) advances the state-of-the-art (SOTA) of METs to enable rapid industrial adoption, and (iii) trains a group of young researchers to become highly skilled MET scientists.<\/p><p data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1408\">Due to the multidisciplinary nature of METs, the improvement of cutting-edge MET-based technologies requires international intersectoral cooperation to ensure proper industrial adoption. Doctoral training is carried out in research groups developing progressive technologies and materials for applying METs, with active involvement from industrial partners who can support their market adoption.<\/p><p data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1882\">The candidates will develop MET-based technologies with a focus on bioremediation, desalination, industrial bioproduction, resource recovery, and the production of CO\u2082-based chemicals. Comprehensive technology development is supported by work packages dedicated to the microbiology of electroactive microorganisms, engineering of redox reactions and reactors, innovative materials, MET-based industrial bioproduction, environmental applications, and industrial adoption.<\/p><p data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1882\">\u00a0<\/p><p data-start=\"1884\" data-end=\"1919\"><strong data-start=\"1884\" data-end=\"1917\">Leitat\u2019s role in the project:<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"1921\" data-end=\"2196\">Leitat will contribute its expertise in the development of carbon- and metal-based electrodes as well as membrane materials, including the study of a paradigmatic case for a planar-type reactor. Additionally, Leitat will give a talk on membranes and their characterization.<\/p><p data-start=\"1921\"
