The two-day event brought together all project partners to review the project\u2019s work plan, establish dedicated working groups for each work package, and align objectives for the upcoming phases.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As part of the agenda, the partners also examined the infrastructures of the demonstration and verification sites where the project\u2019s technologies will be implemented. Leitat, leading the demonstration site in Valencia, presented the urban and peri-urban environments where its activities will focus, highlighting the specific challenges and opportunities of managing water in these contexts.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Participants had the opportunity to visit the Plymouth demonstration site, where local solutions for redirecting river water using natural approaches were showcased. The visit provided valuable insights into sustainable water management practices and inspired discussions on how similar approaches could be adapted to other project locations.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The kick-off meeting not only strengthened collaboration among consortium partners but also allowed the team to consolidate plans for future work, ensuring that each demonstration site is ready to contribute to the project\u2019s ambitious objectives.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The meeting was attended by all project partners, including Westcountry Rivers Trust and Leitat, among others.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This project has received funding from the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme of the European Union under grant agreement number 101180636.
