This dual-production approach seeks to maximise efficiency and sustainability by integrating renewable energy with chemical manufacturing.<\/p><p>According to Boerrigter, the team\u2019s work combines advanced photochemical and catalytic processes to make hydrogen generation more affordable and scalable. \u201cOur aim is to move from lab-scale demonstrations to pilot-scale production within three to five years,\u201d he explains.<\/p><p><strong>A European Effort Towards Decarbonisation<\/strong><\/p><p>Funded by Horizon 2020 and Innovate UK, GH2 represents a collaborative effort between industry partners, research centres, and European institutions.
