{"id":74620,"date":"2025-11-06T10:59:55","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T10:59:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leitat.org\/blog\/leitat-reforca-el-seu-lideratge-en-rdi-amb-11-projectes-aprovats-per-lagencia-estatal-dinvestigacio-captant-34-milions-deuros\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T11:22:43","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T11:22:43","slug":"leitat-strengthens-its-rdi-leadership-with-11-projects-aprroved-by-the-spanish-state-research-agency-securing-34-million-in-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leitat.org\/en\/blog\/leitat-strengthens-its-rdi-leadership-with-11-projects-aprroved-by-the-spanish-state-research-agency-securing-34-million-in-funding\/","title":{"rendered":"Leitat strengthens its R&#038;D&#038;I leadership with 11 projects approved by the Spanish State Research Agency, securing \u20ac3.4 million in funding"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"74620\" class=\"elementor elementor-74620 elementor-74608\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e6c1db0 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e6c1db0\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4fae631 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4fae631\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li><strong>Leitat consolidates its position as one of Spain\u2019s leading technological centres in research, development and innovation, after obtaining approval for 11 R&amp;D&amp;I projects.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>The technology centre reaffirms its key role in areas such as health, energy, mobility and sustainability.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>The selected projects align with the priorities of the Spanish State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research (PEICTI).<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The <strong>Spanish State Research Agency (AEI)<\/strong> has published the <em>Final Resolution Proposal<\/em> for the 2024 call for Public-<strong>Private Partnership Projects (PCPP)<\/strong>, aimed at <strong>fostering cooperation between companies and research centres<\/strong>, and <strong>promoting the development of applied technologies and innovative products<\/strong> with direct impact on the industrial ecosystem.<\/p><p>In total, <strong>497 projects<\/strong> were evaluated, of which <strong>255 have been approved<\/strong> and will begin in the last quarter of 2025, with a total funding amount of almost <strong>\u20ac245.06 million<\/strong>.<\/p><p>In this context, <strong>Leitat consolidates its position as a benchmark in applied research and technology transfer<\/strong>, securing \u20ac3.4 million to develop 11 R&amp;D&amp;I projects in collaboration with companies, ranking among the most successful centres in the main national call for industrial R&amp;D&amp;I projects.<\/p><h4>Leitat stands out in the health area with seven approved projects and strengthens its presence in sustainability and energy<\/h4><p>The <strong>health<\/strong> area leads with <strong>seven approved projects<\/strong>, followed by <strong>two in sustainability and environment, and two more in industry, energy and mobility<\/strong>.<\/p><p>The initiatives align with the priorities of the <strong>State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research (PEICTI)<\/strong> and contribute to <strong>accelerating the transition towards a greener, more digital and competitive economy<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Among the most relevant initiatives is a collaboration with <strong>two SMEs, a start-up and a university<\/strong> to promote the circular economy and energy transition through the development of <strong>sustainable electric energy storage solutions using supercapacitors<\/strong>, aiming to reduce waste and foster clean technologies in mobility and renewable energy.<\/p><p>Another project, jointly developed with <strong>a start-up<\/strong>, will focus on <strong>disruptive technology based on microwaves and additive manufacturing<\/strong> to classify polyps in real time during colonoscopies, improving diagnostic accuracy and reducing healthcare costs.<\/p><p>In addition, Leitat will participate in projects focused on the <strong>creation of safe and sustainable (bio)functional textiles<\/strong> under the Safe-by-Design approach, <strong>incorporating bio-resins and eco-friendly additives<\/strong> to reduce emissions and chemical risks, contributing to a greener and more competitive textile industry.<\/p><p>\u201c<em>These results reflect the strength of Leitat\u2019s model and reinforce one of our most strategic priorities: collaboration with companies and technology transfer as key drivers of competitiveness.
