Although plastics are widely used due to their versatile properties, their low recycling rate (only 9%) has led to massive waste accumulation, especially in oceans, generating microscopic fragments (&lt;5 mm) known as microplastics, which pose a global environmental threat.<\/p><p data-start=\"470\" data-end=\"778\">Currently, MP removal methods rely on filtration (MF\/UF) with efficiencies \u226590%, but they have limitations such as energy consumption, membrane wear, and fouling. Emerging technologies, such as air flotation or nanofluids, show lower efficiencies and depend on factors like pH and the type of microplastic.<\/p><p data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"1047\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">CAPTUR3D proposes an alternative based on superhydrophobic and oleophilic (SH\/OP) coatings applied to surfaces manufactured via additive manufacturing, which attract MPs without the need for external energy. This solution will be validated in real-world environments.<\/p><p data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"1047\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\u00a0<\/p><p data-start=\"0\"
