The AID4SME<\/strong> consortium recently convened in Ljubljana for a productive and engaging General Assembly, kindly hosted by our project partner, the JSI – Jozef Stefan Institute<\/strong>. Over three days, partners from across Europe came together to review the current status of the project, align on upcoming activities, and engage in strategic discussions focused on the selection of participating SMEs.<\/p>

The agenda was comprehensive, covering progress updates, upcoming milestones, and a collaborative approach to ensure the successful continuation of the project. In addition, the Assembly included three highly informative site visits, providing participants with first-hand insights into cutting-edge technologies and industry practices:<\/p>

  • JSI \u2013 Robotics and Systems & Control Department<\/strong>: exploring advances in robotics and automated systems.<\/p><\/li>

  • ELES \u2013 Electric Power and Transmission Systems<\/strong>: gaining insights into the management and innovation of electrical networks.<\/p><\/li>

  • LTH \u2013 Expertise in high-quality, complex pressure die-cast aluminium components<\/strong>: learning about advanced manufacturing techniques.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    Following the great success of Open Call #1, which received over 200 applications, the project now enters a critical and exciting phase: the SME selection process. Applications are being carefully evaluated by external reviewers, and the consortium will soon select 10 SMEs to participate in the next stage.<\/p>

    The selected SMEs will join the consortium in developing innovative solutions, with the development phase scheduled to begin in early 2026 and continue over 14 months. This phase represents a major step toward achieving the project\u2019s objectives and delivering tangible impact for small and medium-sized enterprises across Europe.<\/p>
