The initiative has focused on the recovery of pre-consumer textile waste from the manufacturing of racing suits, materials that until now had no valorisation pathway and usually ended up in landfills or incineration.<\/p><p>Thanks to the developed strategy, these residues have been transformed into two new circular textile products: a yarn and a non-woven fabric, extending their lifecycle and avoiding their final disposal.<\/p><p>Overall, the project has prevented <strong>around one tonne of textile waste from becoming waste, thus contributing to a more efficient and sustainable production model<\/strong>.\u00a0In addition, the company expects a 20% annual increase in the collection of pre-consumer waste over the next three years, confirming its commitment to continue improving in terms of circular economy, with this project as a starting point.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0a45291 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"0a45291\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c79b9d0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"c79b9d0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/leitat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_3360-700x700.jpg\" class=\"attachment-tp-image-grid size-tp-image-grid wp-image-82243\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/leitat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_3360-700x700.jpg 700w, https:\/\/leitat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_3360-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7dcc561 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"7dcc561\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a40a9b0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a40a9b0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>At Leitat, an environmental assessment was carried out to quantify the benefits of the solution.\u00a0The results show that the implementation of the Circular Racewear strategy could lead to savings of at least <strong>16,300 kg of CO\u2082 equivalent<\/strong>, that is, a <strong>9.5% reduction in impact<\/strong>.
