This first meeting marked the official starting point of the project and brought together all the partners involved to align objectives and establish the foundations for collaboration.<\/p><p data-start=\"439\" data-end=\"985\">The main objective of the project is to investigate advanced technological solutions to recover metals sustainably in mining environments, combining improvements in flotation processes with the use of functionalized fibers and yarns, as well as membranes applied to flotation residues and acidic waters. In addition, the project includes the development of an intelligent system based on artificial intelligence and a data platform that will monitor process performance in real time, optimizing its efficiency, traceability, and sustainability.<\/p><p data-start=\"989\" data-end=\"1236\">Leitat\u2019s role in this promising project is to contribute its advanced technical expertise in materials and metal recovery and separation technologies, while also carrying out the specialized activities that require this technological capability.<\/p><p data-start=\"1240\" data-end=\"1594\">The session focused on defining the work plan and timeline, key aspects to ensure the proper execution of the project throughout its different phases. The meeting also served to outline the first actions and foster initial interactions among the consortium members, facilitating coordination and mutual understanding between the participating entities.<\/p><p data-start=\"1598\" data-end=\"1834\">As part of the agenda, attendees also visited Leitat\u2019s facilities, where they had the opportunity to learn first-hand about its technological capabilities and available resources that will contribute to the development of the project.<\/p><p data-start=\"1838\" data-end=\"2142\">The meeting was attended by the entities forming the consortium: IRIS, AERIS, AGQ, ATALAYA, ANTEX, and CROMOGENIA, as well as ZABALA, the entity responsible for project management. In addition, CETIM, the University of the Basque Country, and the University of Seville also participated in the project.<\/p><p data-start=\"2146\" data-end=\"2355\">Following this kick-off meeting, the DIGIMITEX project now enters its execution phase, during which the planned activities will be implemented in accordance with the work plan established during the meeting.<\/p><p data-start=\"2359\" data-end=\"2762\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">DIGIMITEX directly addresses the objectives of European Regulation 2024\/1252 and aligns with Mission 5 of the Misiones Ciencia e Innovaci\u00f3n 2025 programme, focused on achieving strategic sovereignty in mineral raw materials.
