One message was particularly clear: although the project has not yet reached its midpoint, <strong data-start=\"841\" data-end=\"892\">EMPOWER is already delivering promising results<\/strong> across multiple areas of innovation.<br \/><br \/><\/p><h3 data-section-id=\"jhc6in\" data-start=\"931\" data-end=\"971\">Advancing photovoltaic manufacturing<\/h3><p data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"1367\">The project is advancing <strong data-start=\"998\" data-end=\"1080\">disruptive technologies spanning the entire photovoltaic manufacturing process<\/strong>, from advanced silicon wafer production to high-efficiency solar cell and module manufacturing. These developments aim to reduce production costs, strengthen the resilience of the European solar industry, and contribute to Europe&#8217;s <strong data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1366\">energy independence and sustainability objectives<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1369\" data-end=\"1731\">The meeting was hosted by the Applied Research Institute for Prospective Technologies (PROTECH) and Metsolar. In addition to consortium discussions, participants had the opportunity to <strong data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1602\">visit laboratories and industrial facilities<\/strong>, gaining first-hand insight into the technologies, expertise, and manufacturing capabilities being developed within the project.<br \/><br \/><\/p><h3 data-section-id=\"59y18w\" data-start=\"1733\" data-end=\"1773\">Strengthening European collaboration<\/h3><p data-start=\"1775\" data-end=\"2113\">Beyond the technical achievements, the General Assembly also highlighted the <strong data-start=\"1852\" data-end=\"1890\">strength of European collaboration<\/strong>. Bringing together partners from different countries and backgrounds continues to be one of EMPOWER&#8217;s greatest assets, enabling knowledge exchange, innovation, and a shared commitment to accelerating the energy transition.<\/p><p data-start=\"2115\" data-end=\"2368\">At LEITAT, we highly value these opportunities to collaborate closely with partners across Europe, exchange expertise, and contribute to the development of <strong data-start=\"2271\" data-end=\"2367\">innovative solutions that will help strengthen Europe&#8217;s photovoltaic manufacturing ecosystem<\/strong>.<br \/><br \/><\/p><h3 data-section-id=\"monzc8\" data-start=\"2370\" data-end=\"2387\">Looking ahead<\/h3><p data-start=\"2389\" data-end=\"2697\">We would like to thank PROTECH and Metsolar for their excellent organisation, warm hospitality, and inspiring hosting of the event.
