Leitat will be present at <strong>stand 085, Hall 2<\/strong>, to showcase its applied research and technological development capabilities to companies and stakeholders across the biotech and pharmaceutical ecosystem.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Biospain 2026, organised by <strong>AseBio<\/strong> in collaboration with the <strong>Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the Basque Government and Basque Health Cluster<\/strong>, will bring together companies, research centres, investors and other sector stakeholders to address the main challenges and opportunities in biotechnology, with a particular focus on areas such as healthcare, bioeconomy, policy and funding.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4>Applied research serving biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry<\/h4><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">As an <strong>Applied Research &amp; Technological Center<\/strong>, Leitat works with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to address challenges related to the development of new therapeutic and diagnostic solutions in areas such as oncology, inflammation, autoimmune diseases and rare diseases.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In the <strong>therapeutic<\/strong> field, Leitat has a <strong>preclinical drug development platform<\/strong> that integrates advanced capabilities in <strong>antibody generation and engineering<\/strong>, <strong>drug discovery support<\/strong> and <strong>ADME-Tox studies<\/strong>. This platform is complemented by <strong>in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo models<\/strong>, as well as <strong>organoids<\/strong> and <strong>organ-on-chip systems<\/strong>, which enable the <strong>modelling of tissues and pathological microenvironments<\/strong> with a high degree of precision. Together, these capabilities provide a flexible technological offering <strong>adapted to the specific needs of each project<\/strong>, aimed at accelerating and optimising the development of new therapeutic candidates.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In the field of <strong>diagnostics<\/strong>, Leitat develops <strong>antibodies as technological tools<\/strong> for different <strong>MedTech<\/strong> platforms and detection systems, and validates <strong>biomarker signatures<\/strong> with <strong>diagnostic and predictive value<\/strong> in both <strong>human and animal health<\/strong>. These capabilities enable the <strong>identification of molecules of high clinical interest<\/strong> and the development of high-value solutions tailored to the needs of each project.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In this context, Leitat will present its <strong>One-Stop Shop for Antibodies<\/strong> at BIOSPAIN, a proposal designed to facilitate the development of new antibody-based projects in therapy and diagnostics.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4>ISO 13485: quality and rigour for medical device development<\/h4><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Leitat\u2019s participation in Biospain follows an important recognition of its capabilities in the field of medical technology: obtaining the <strong>UNE-EN ISO 13485:2018 certification, awarded by AENOR<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This international standard establishes the requirements for a quality management system applied to medical devices and related services.
