Visit to Catalonia<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, organised with the participation of <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Leitat Technological Center, Sistem Global and T\u00dcB\u0130TAK<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, brings together Turkish researchers and innovation actors with Catalan research organisations, technology centres, hospitals and other stakeholders across the health and life sciences ecosystem.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Exploring Catalonia\u2019s health and life sciences ecosystem<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The programme began at <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Leitat Technological Center<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, where the delegation was introduced to the Catalan health R&amp;D ecosystem. <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Marc Masa<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> presented Leitat and its <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Health &amp; Biomedicine<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> capabilities, while <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Evelyn Moreno<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> shared insights into European projects and opportunities for international collaboration.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The visit continued at the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC)<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fraunhofer Spain CAT<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> at the Barcelona Science Park, combining scientific exchange, technical presentations, networking and visits to research facilities.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The programme brings together expertise across areas including <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">bioengineering, nanomedicine, advanced tissue models, drug discovery and biomedical technologies<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, providing an opportunity for the participating organisations to identify complementary capabilities and potential areas for future cooperation.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">From ecosystem connections to European partnerships<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">On <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">7 October<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the programme continues at <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ACCI\u00d3<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> with the <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Catalonia\u2013T\u00fcrkiye Health R&amp;I Brokerage Event<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, bringing together the Turkish delegation and Catalan health and life sciences organisations for ecosystem presentations, organisational pitches and dedicated <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">B2B matchmaking meetings<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The objective is to foster new partnerships for collaborative European R&amp;D&amp;I projects, with a particular focus on opportunities within <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Horizon Europe Cluster 1, the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) and the EU Mission on Cancer<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The programme includes presentations from ACCI\u00d3 and Biocat, pitches from Turkish and Catalan organisations, and one-to-one meetings designed to identify complementary expertise and potential project partnerships.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A closer look at Catalonia\u2019s research and innovation capabilities<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The final stage of the study visit will take the Turkish delegation to <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (IGTP)<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Centre Nacional d\u2019An\u00e0lisi Gen\u00f2mica (CNAG)<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">These visits will offer participants a closer look at Catalonia\u2019s clinical, research and technological capabilities, complementing the ecosystem and networking activities developed throughout the week.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">By bringing together organisations from T\u00fcrkiye and Catalonia across research, healthcare and technology, the study visit aims to strengthen connections between both ecosystems and lay the foundations for
