The event combined a review of the first year\u2019s results with working sessions to advance the development of nature-based solutions (NbS).<\/p><p><strong>A first year of work to lay the project\u2019s foundations<\/strong><\/p><p>During the meeting, the consortium shared progress on site characterisation, the review of existing initiatives and hydrological modelling. Discussions also covered stakeholder engagement and the definition of the role of demonstration and validation sites within the project.<\/p><p>These areas of work formed the focus of the first-year review and provided a starting point for defining WATERGRID\u2019s next phases.<\/p><p><strong>From design to demonstration and validation<\/strong><\/p><p>The subsequent sessions focused on the design and implementation of nature-based solutions, alongside the monitoring and modelling plans that will support their development.
