During this event, COMMON SENSE project coordinator <a href=\"mailto:smartineznavas@leitat.org\">Sergio Martinez<\/a> will showcase the project that developed cost-effective sensors, interoperable with international existing ocean observing systems, to meet EU policies requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The event is a good opportunity to have a clear overview of the wide cross-sectorial and interdisciplinary marine, maritime and aquatic research and innovation in Horizon 2020, and its relevance to EU policies, the Bioeconomy and the Blue Economy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Address the wide coverage of the cross-sectorial and interdisciplinary approach to marine, maritime and aquatic research and innovation in Horizon 2020, and its relevance to EU policies, the Bioeconomy and the Blue Economy.<\/li>\n<li>Showcase examples of impactful EU research and innovation (R&amp;I) projects portfolios related to Blue Growth and<\/li>\n<li>Highlight synergies with other programmes and initiatives related to Blue Growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Target audience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Researchers<\/li>\n<li>Industry<\/li>\n<li>Policy makers, including national and regional level<\/li>\n<li>SC2 project participants\u00c2\u00a0 and potential applicants<\/li>\n<li>Media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The programme will then include an overview of EU programmes contributing to Blue Growth through research and innovation; a session showcasing project portfolios on sustainable marine bioresources; a\u00c2\u00a0second session on project portfolios\u00c2\u00a0 with \u00c2\u00a0marine ecosystems and food security focus; a\u00c2\u00a0final session on project portfolios on marine data and digitisation technologies.<\/p>\n<p>A \u00abBioeconomy village\u00bb with 20\u00c2\u00a0booths will be showcased during the days 16 and 17 November<\/p>\n<p>Download the agenda here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practical information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This event forms part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/horizon2020\/en\/news\/horizon-2020-societal-challenge-2-infoweek-including-high-level-policy-events\">Horizon 2020 Societal challenge 2 InfoWeek <\/a>which will take place from 14 to 17 November.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00c2\u00a0for\u00c2\u00a0other events,\u00c2\u00a0participation is free of charge but\u00c2\u00a0participants are asked to make their\u00c2\u00a0own travel and accommodation arrangements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration for all events in the Infoweek is now open <\/strong><strong>here<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong> It will close on 20 October at the latest.
