New materials and components will be developed and optimised to achieve longer lifetime (up to 10,000 cycles depending on the material selected), lower costs (down to \u20ac0.03\/kWh\/cycle), improved safety, and more efficient recycling (&gt;50%).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In general, the project will strengthen the EU&#8217;s competitiveness in advanced materials and the related battery value chain by developing a cobalt-free solution and safe polymer electrolytes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This project has received funding from the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 875126.
