{"id":1890,"date":"2013-11-14T10:37:56","date_gmt":"2013-11-14T09:37:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev-leitat-projects-blog.pantheonsite.io\/?p=1890"},"modified":"2025-02-14T09:58:37","modified_gmt":"2025-02-14T09:58:37","slug":"leitat-19th-setac-lca-case-study-symposium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leitat.org\/es\/blog\/leitat-19th-setac-lca-case-study-symposium\/","title":{"rendered":"LEITAT @ 19th SETAC LCA Case Study Symposium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Environment unit of LEITAT has been presenting results from various projects at the 19th SETAC (Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry) Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Case Study Symposium, which was held from 11-13 November 2013 in Rome, Italy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The theme of the symposium, jointly organized by SETAC and ISIE, was \u00abLCA in market research and policy: Harmonisation beyond standardization.\u00bb The purpose of the symposium was to discuss how LCA can support the decision-making process at all levels, i.e., industry and policy contexts, and how LCA results can be efficiently communicated and used for supporting market strategies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within this scope, the Sustainable unit has been presenting the following results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cLife Cycle Assessment to guide the eco-design of new upholstery products incorporating green processes and recycled materials\u201d from the <a title=\"Greenup\" href=\"https:\/\/leitat.org\/es\/blog\/greenup\/\">GREENUP project<\/a> (EU-ECOINNOVATION).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cLife Cycle Assessment to assess new thermoelectric systems applied to power generation in the automotive sector\u201d from the NEXTEC project (EU-FP7-NMP).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cLife Cycle Assessment as a methodology to measure the environmental benefits of the innovative strategy applied for urban waste treatment in the URWASTECH project\u201d from the <a href=\"https:\/\/leitat.org\/es\/blog\/urwastech\/\">URWASTECH project<\/a> (EU-LIFE).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cLife Cycle Assessment as a methodology to develop an easy tool, BookDAPer, to improve the environmental performance of printed products produced by SMEs\u201d from the <a title=\"GREENINGBOOKS\" href=\"https:\/\/leitat.org\/es\/blog\/greeningbooks\/\">GREENINGBOOKS project<\/a> (EU-LIFE).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cLife Cycle Approach to define new Product Categories Rules for Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) system of construction products\u201d from the national DAPc system in collaboration with CAATEEB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More information on the conference: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.setac.org\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Environment unit of LEITAT has been presenting results from various projects at the 19th SETAC (Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry) Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Case Study Symposium which was held the 11-13 November 2013 in Rome, Italy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":1893,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[12],"tags":[21],"class_list":["post-1890","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-circular-economy","tag-events"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
