Two project teams will be awarded <strong>US$25,000<\/strong>\u00a0each to kick-start their projects on\u00a0<strong>Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture<\/strong>\u00a0and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goal 2 \u2013 Zero Hunger.<\/p><p>The WAITRO Secretariat in consultation with the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) have selected the winning project teams taking into consideration the Impact, Feasibility, Level of Innovation and Technical Quality, Team Strength and International Collaboration.<\/p><p>The SMARTinFOOD proposal aims to address nutrition security and sustainability in vulnerable areas through circular bioeconomy, by applying technologies on insect farming as the main vector for the valorisation of agricultural waste and its conversion into food and feed products.
