This Workshop was held on 26th &#8211; 28th November 2013 at the University of Barcelona, and hosted by Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highlight key results of the projects in the EU 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) and their technology readiness level in a value chain approach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify common research and innovation priorities for bridging the gap between nanotechnology-based knowledge produced by those projects and the successful commercialisation of products enabled by these developments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Give an updated overview of the portfolio of projects in the photovoltaics (PV) field at the final stage of FP7 to bring forward the global picture of PV research and innovation in Europe and highlight the impact of nanotechnology in this area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Enable the nanotechnology and PV communities in Europe to consolidate joint collaborations for strategic industrial partnerships and to give key recommendations on future research and innovation needs in the PV domain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Review the existing nanotechnology and PV roadmaps for the industrial development of PV in Europe, to implement them in Horizon 2020, the EU new Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2014-2020.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>David GUTIERREZ-TAUSTE from the renewable energy group of LEITAT has participated and chaired the session on \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Concentrator photovoltaic cells\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of the 2nd Workshop and general assembly of the European photovoltaic clusters (EU PV Clusters). <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":2234,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[17],"tags":[21],"class_list":["post-2233","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-energy-transition-and-decarbonization","tag-events"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
