This event brings together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers mainly from across Spain, focusing on advancing Spain\u2019s role in EU R&amp;D and bolstering sustainability, innovation, and circular economy goals.<\/p><p>Leitat\u2019s <strong>BATRAW<\/strong> and <strong>ReLeaf<\/strong> projects highlight the organization\u2019s commitment to sustainable innovation:<\/p><ul><li><strong>BATRAW<\/strong> tackles the urgent need for sustainable recycling of lithium-ion batteries, which are vital for electric vehicles and electronic devices. Through advanced disassembly techniques and raw material recovery, BATRAW aims to close the loop on battery production, aligning with Europe\u2019s circular economy ambitions.<\/li><li><strong>ReLeaf<\/strong> will create essential bio-based fertilizers (BBF) from common European waste streams to reduce reliance on foreign supply chains and petroleum-based resources in fertiliser production. The project will assess the effectiveness of the BBFs produced in different climate and soil conditions.<\/li><\/ul><p>In addition to sharing these projects, this conference provides an invaluable opportunity for Leitat representatives to meet with Spain\u2019s National Contact Points and key partners. These discussions will cover the current EU research landscape and future directions, as well as insights on the upcoming <strong>Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2028-2034<\/strong>.
