This two-day event provided a platform to assess the project\u2019s progress, discuss upcoming milestones, and strengthen collaboration in developing safe, sustainable, and recyclable-by-design (SSRbD) polymeric materials.<\/p><p>The first day focused on reviewing key project milestones and delving into the three main demonstration cases: bio-based polyurethanes for the construction sector, recyclable epoxy-vitrimers for the transport industry, and multi-nanolayered films for packaging. As these innovations near their final stages, partners discussed technical challenges and proposed solutions, ensuring the project&#8217;s alignment with its sustainability goals. The day concluded with updates on the project\u2019s digital infrastructure and strategies for risk management and exploitation.<\/p><p>The second day featured a dedicated workshop on standardization, emphasizing the importance of aligning project outcomes with industry norms. Partners also reviewed the SSRbD assessment tools, discussing improvements and applications. An interactive session focused on identifying and managing key exploitable results, fostering collaborative efforts toward market-ready innovations. This innovative material is engineered for \u201cvitromerization,\u201d a process that makes polymers more durable and recyclable, promising a greener future for the industry. Also shown were the advancements in shaping and reprocessing these polymers. Leitat&#8217;s work focuses on ensuring that these materials not only perform well but can also be molded, reused, and recycled efficiently\u2014a crucial step toward reducing waste and promoting sustainability.<\/p><p>In the transport sector, Leitat presented updated findings from its study on how these advanced composites behave under real-world conditions. This research helps ensure that materials used in vehicles remain safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly throughout their lifecycle. Finally, the team introduced a scoring system they\u2019ve developed to assess the environmental impact of these materials.
