The European Ecolabel is a voluntary scheme that aims to promote products and services with a reduced environmental impact during their entire life cycle and to provide consumers with accurate, non-deceptive and scientifically based information on the environmental impact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2011, the Commission already commissioned LEITAT to review EU Ecolabel criteria and Green Procurement for soaps, shampoos and hair conditioners and in 2012 the review for the furniture category. This is the third contract of its kind to be awarded to LEITAT.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This contract has a duration of 26 months.
