The Netherlands invited a small group of countries and regions coinciding with its presidency of the EU Council.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The director of the Waste Agency of Catalonia, Josep Maria Tost, leads from Wednesday until Friday the Catalan delegation on a trade mission to the Netherlands to get to know the reality of the circular economy in this country. The delegation comprise twenty representatives of government, businesses and business organizations.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
As part of the Dutch presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU), and just after the presentation of the package circular economy by the European Commission, the Dutch government has organized a series of events to discuss, debate, share and move towards a more circular Europe. As the main event, they created a three-day trade mission, to which were invited a small group of neighboring countries and regions. Among them, Catalonia has been called to participate to get to know the reality of the Dutch circular axis.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Visit success stories<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The event includes visits to several success stories of circular economy. Specifically, circular regional cooperation, such as in the province of Friesland, in the city of Venlo, or the port of Rotterdam. Also visit examples of production, such as Philips, Interface, and Black Bear; and reuse and recycling, as the cases of DSM, QCP or Gansewinkel.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The Netherlands is probably one of the regions of the world where the first steps towards a circular economy have become more rigorous. It is an innovative country and the Netherlands Circular Hotspot is configured as a living laboratory for sharing innovation in the field of circular economy with other states and regions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
