{"id":7987,"date":"2017-07-17T12:21:47","date_gmt":"2017-07-17T10:21:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev-leitat-projects-blog.pantheonsite.io\/?p=7987"},"modified":"2025-02-24T21:50:58","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T21:50:58","slug":"starting-breeze-clean-sky-project-cleaner-air-plane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leitat.org\/es\/blog\/starting-breeze-clean-sky-project-cleaner-air-plane\/","title":{"rendered":"Starting to BREEZE: a Clean Sky project for a cleaner air in the plane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the 4th of July 2017, the kickoff meeting of the <a href=\"https:\/\/leitat.org\/es\/blog\/breeze\/\">BREEZE<\/a> project took place in LEITAT headquarters with the presence of all participants involved including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liebherr.com\/en\/esp\/products\/aerospace-and-transportation-systems\/aerospace-and-transportation-systems.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LIEBHERR Aerospace<\/a> as a leader of the <a href=\"http:\/\/cleansky.eu\/members\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Integrated Technology Platform for Systems<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During this meeting, researchers, technicians and managers could discuss and plan the execution of the project that will last for 3 years. After this period, the objective is have an alternative air purification filter based on combined adsorption and photocatalytic oxidation using UVA-LEDs as irradiation source. The efficiency of BREEZE technology will be validated for the elimination of volatile organic compounds, specific types of ethers, ozone and bio-contaminants such as bacteria and viruses. Ageing tests will be carried out in order to validate under real pressure and humidity conditions the air filter durability.
