Lebanon Innovate: Capacity Building Program on Innovation Management

Creating, promoting and feeding a rich and diverse business ecosystem is crucial for any society. Especially in those that suffered the roughness and the harshness of war. That is why, in the aftermath of any conflict, facing old and new challenges struggling social and business environments requires creative and impactful solutions.     

This programme is designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizational leaders eager to create social impact. The focus will be on applying social innovation to develop sustainable business models, foster collaboration, and measure meaningful social outcomes. Participants will gain practical tools and strategies to implement innovative practices and drive positive change within their organizations and communities.

The aim of this capacity-building programme is to introduce the concept of social innovation and raise awareness of its importance for sustainable and impactful business practices.

Participants will explore the value of fostering a purpose-driven organisational culture and understand how collaboration can amplify social impact. The programme will guide participants through the entire social innovation process, highlighting key stakeholders and practical mechanisms to develop innovative solutions. Throughout the sessions, practical case studies will allow participants to collaborate, apply the lessons learned, and create strategies that generate measurable social and community impact.

Participant Criteria

Participant Criteria – Lebanon’s Post-Conflict Response through Social Innovation 

This training is designed for individuals and companies who are eligible to attend and capable of generating meaningful impact within their organizations by applying social innovation principles.  

Participants should meet the following criteria: 

  • Work in Healthcare, ICT, or Agrifood sectors, where social innovation can support post-conflict recovery and sustainable business practices.  
  • Hold a mid-to-senior level role with influence over strategy, operations or social impact initiatives (e.g., CSR, R&D, Strategy, HR, Operations). 
  • Able to translate all learnings into actionable initiatives that drive social, environmental or economic impact.  
  • Confirmed availability for all five sessions (11 Nov – 9 Dec 2025) 
  • Strong strategic thinking and knowledge-sharing capabilities across departments and sectors.   
  • Open to learn, share experiences and contribute to group discussions.   
  • Able to identify organizational or sector challenges that social innovation can address. 
  • Demonstrates the potential to apply the program concepts to drive transformative initiatives and enhance organizational capacity.  
  • Willing to collaborate across departments and sectors. 
  • Strong interest in social innovation and sustainable business practices. 
  • Personal or organizational goals aligned with fostering sustainable and socially impactful solutions.  

Eligibility Criteria for Companies/Institutions:

Introduction and Rationale (company, representative). Brief introduction of the institution represented field of expertise and professional background, size and history of innovation.

Strategic Vision for a Culture of Innovation. Institutions’ strategic vision in fostering a culture of innovation among faculties and researchers. Provide challenges detected.

Objectives for Applied research and IP commercialization. Institution’s key objectives in supporting development of applied research and IP commercialization.

Institutional capacity and Resource Availability. Summarize the institution’s ability and the availability of resources (human capital, facilities, etc.) to benefit from Lebanon Innovate

Motivation, Willingness and Commitment. Shortly describe your interests and suitability to take part of such initiative.
