The Tarrasense Conditioning Association (Leitat) is a private, non-profit entity with its own legal and assets, established in 1906. It regulates its activities in accordance with current regulations and the Code of Ethics.

ASSEMBLY

The General Assembly is the sovereign governing body of the Association. All its members participate in it in their own right and it is where all those matters that the Statutes grant them as exclusive competences are decided.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors has the powers to represent, direct and administer the Association. Likewise, to comply with the decisions taken by the General Assembly in accordance with the regulations, instructions and guidelines established by the latter.

Jordi Cabrafiga i Macias holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Universitat Ramon Llull-La Salle. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (ESADE), has completed the Vicens Vives Leadership and Commitment Program (ESADE) and the Cluster Management Methodology Program (IESE).

Since November 2023, he has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Leitat. Previously, he held the position of strategic director of Economic Growth and Government Affairs at the entity.

Before joining the technology center, he held various positions in the Public Administration of Catalonia, including the General Secretariat of the Department of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Presidency of the Catalan Institute of Finance (2021-2022), the General Secretary of the Department of Business and Knowledge (2020-2021), as well as chief of staff of the Minister of the Presidency (2018-2020) and the Minister of Governance (2015-2017) of the Generalitat de Catalunya, among others.

Between 2002 and 2011, he developed technology, transformation and innovation projects at Hewlett-Packard, T-Systems and Barcelona Activa.

Pere Regull holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from IQS, a degree in Chemistry from Ramon Llull University and an MBA from ESADE. As a researcher at IQS he carried out several projects in the fields of electrochemistry and photoelectrochemistry. He has developed his extensive professional career, first in the paper industry occupying various positions in business management at Torraspapel (Lecta Group) and as CEO at Inapa Spain; later he was the general manager of IQS. Pere has also been a member of several boards of directors of commercial companies, university executive boards and sectoral business associations. He is currently the corporate director of Leitat.

Laurent Aubouy

Laurent Aubouy

Directorate of Applied Research and Technological Services

Laurent Aubouy is a graduate in Physics and Materials Science from the Higher School of Engineering of Caen, holds a Master’s in Organic Chemistry from the University of Caen Basse Normandie, and a PhD in Organic and Industrial Chemistry from the University of Montpellier. He also holds an MBA from Euncet Business School (UPC). He has developed his professional career in the chemistry sector working in the field of organic chemistry for pharmaceutical, catalytic and organic semiconductor applications. With a track record of more than 20 years of experience in the management and leadership of R&D teams, he currently holds the position of Director of Science and Technology at Leitat.

Dirk Saseta

Dirk Saseta

Business and Operations Management

Dirk Saseta Krieg is a member of the Executive Committee and holds the position of Director of Business and Operations. He manages national and international operations to raise public funds, private sales and project management in Leitat. Dirk represents Leitat at the institutional level and actively participates in the associations of RTO WAITRO, EARTO and FEDIT. He has 19 years of experience in public and private RTOs in Europe and the US. This includes his work as a project manager at the Meadowlands Environmental Research Institute from 2006 to 2008. Dirk joined Leitat in 2009 as a project manager in environmental technologies and renewable energy and was appointed director of International Affairs in 2013. He has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a master’s degree in Environmental Audits and Management Systems, specializing in Renewable Energies, from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and an MBA from the ESADE Business School. He has also completed international audit and certification courses in ISO 9000 (Quality) and ISO 14000 (Environment) at the School of Business Administration (EAE), and a continuing education program in project management at New York University (NYU). He has worked as an associate professor, lecturer and speaker in project management and drafting proposals for the EU at several universities (La Salle and ESADE).

Eri Vazquez

Strategic Project Management

Eri Vázquez Muñoz, director of Strategic Projects at the Leitat Technology Center, is an expert in the management of scientific-technological infrastructure and innovation, with extensive experience in science parks, financing of technology companies and valorization of R&D in Europe, the Mediterranean and Latin America. He has collaborated with companies, public bodies and international associations, and has been a guest professor at universities such as Tartu, Nottingham and Federico II of Naples. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Trade (Groningen and Stirling), a Postgraduate Degree in Public Procurement (Deusto), and degrees in International Business and Economics and Business, as well as EIPA certifications in European fund management and innovation.

Patricia Guerrero

COMMUNICATIONS, MARKETING AND EXTERNAL RELATIONS MANAGER

Patricia Guerrero has a degree in journalism from UAB (Barcelona). Having started out in traditional media, she moved towards corporate communication and digital marketing. For her first few years at Leitat, she promoted and managed the communication strategy of unique initiatives linked to additive manufacturing, such as the IAM 3D HUB and the 3D Factory Incubator. Currently, Patricia is the director of the Communication, Marketing and External Relations Department at Leitat.
