BIOMETHAVERSE Project Holds 7th General Assembly in Milan

On 25–26 November, the BIOMETHAVERSE consortium gathered in Milan for the project’s 7th General Assembly. During this meeting, partners reviewed the progress of all tasks and activities as Reporting Period 2 comes to an end, discussing results achieved so far and planning the next steps to ensure the project’s objectives are met.

BIOMETHAVERSE is a European initiative focused on advancing sustainable biomethane production through innovative technologies and integrated approaches. The project aims to diversify the technology basis for biomethane production in Europe, increase cost-effectiveness, and accelerate the market uptake of innovative biomethane solutions. To achieve this, BIOMETHAVERSE demonstrates five pilot production pathways that go beyond standard technology, enabling scalable and replicable solutions for different feedstocks and regions.

The overarching goal of the project is to boost sustainable biomethane production, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contribute to the EU’s renewable energy targets, and foster the creation of new green jobs. By integrating cutting-edge technologies and promoting collaboration between research institutions, industry partners, and policymakers, BIOMETHAVERSE seeks to pave the way for a greener, more sustainable energy future in Europe.

Although Leitat was not physically present at the Milan meeting, the institute remains actively involved in the project’s progress, contributing to research, analysis, and dissemination activities that support the consortium’s objectives.
