Leitat closes today a remarkable experience at BIOSPAIN 2025, the leading life sciences event organized by AseBio (Spanish Bioindustry Association). As an associated partner of AseBio, we were proud to participate in this key gathering of biotechnology innovators, researchers, industry leaders, and investors.
Over the course of three days, from October 7 to 9, at Pavilion 1 of Fira de Barcelona, Leitat showcased its latest advancements in biotechnology, healthcare, and sustainable technologies. Visitors to our stand had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge projects and prototypes that exemplify how our research translates into real-world solutions.
Among the highlights presented at BIOSPAIN 2025 were:
OXIPRO.EU – Designing a microfluidic enzymatic bioreactor to make consumer products more sustainable.
iDIABETES – Developing a non-invasive saliva glucometer for continuous diabetes monitoring.
DiMεD – Advancing personalized invasive medical devices through bioprinting and additive manufacturing.
SERhA – Creating a Joint-on-a-Chip model to study rheumatoid arthritis and reduce animal testing.
These prototypes demonstrate the versatility of Leitat’s innovation ecosystem — where biotechnology, health, and sustainability intersect to improve people’s lives and promote responsible technological development.
The interactions and exchanges we had with attendees were highly inspiring.
