The PEDAID3 project (Positive Energy District supported by Artificial Intelligence and Data-Driven Decisions) has officially started with its Kick-Off Meeting at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC).
Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) are essential for the future of urban energy systems. They help cities improve energy efficiency while integrating renewable energy generation, storage, and exchange at the district level. Achieving this requires advanced situational awareness and effective decision-making tools for multiple stakeholders.
PEDAID3 addresses these challenges through three main pillars:
A stakeholder-centric framework for holistic PED modelling
Co-created PED solutions developed collaboratively with key actors
A multi-stakeholder decision-support platform integrating AI and data-driven solutions
The project brings together a strong European consortium, including ULPGC, STAM, Leitat, SUPSI, NTNU, ASM Research Solutions Strategy, Tehniskā universitāte, Sociedad Municipal de Aparcamientos de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Comune di Cheremule, and Rzeszów, combining research, technology, and real urban environments.
From Leitat, Marco Mori participated in the Kick-Off Meeting and presented the tasks Leitat will lead in the project, showcasing our expertise in AI-driven tools and solutions to support the development of Positive Energy Districts.
We are excited to contribute to this innovative project and look forward to the upcoming collaborations and developments.
