The ReLEAF project marked its 12M with a successful consortium meeting held in Birmingham, UK, gathering representatives from all partner organisations. The event was hosted by project partner iNeuvo Ltd, who also conducted a collaborative exploitation workshop focused on intellectual property, value chains and market opportunities.
Over two days, the consortium reviewed the progress made across all areas and outlined future actions. Key topics included the development of bio-based fertilisers, optimisation of technologies for ingredient extraction and production, assessments on health and environmental impacts, and strategies for outreach and public engagement.
The meeting also welcomed a new partner to the consortium: the Centre Mondial de l’Innovation (CMI) – Groupe Roullier, who brings additional expertise and insight to the project.
Leitat, as project coordinator, played an active role in the discussions. The team presented updates on the scale-up of ingredient production technologies and on the coordination of the project’s next steps.
ReLEAF now moves into a new phase focused on the implementation and demonstration of optimised technologies for raw material extraction and bio-based fertiliser production. These in-person meetings are crucial to strengthening collaboration, aligning strategies and advancing towards a more circular and sustainable bioeconomy.
