SOLO Consortium meets in Lund (Sweden) to review project progress at Month 30

From 6 to 8 May 2025, the SOLO project consortium came together in Lund, Sweden, for its Month 30 meeting, hosted by Lund University. The gathering was an opportunity not only to assess progress so far but also to align on the future roadmap for research and innovation within the European Soil Mission.

Over three intensive days, partners shared updates on the activities carried out in each Work Package since the last consortium meeting in Bulgaria (November 2024). Dedicated sessions for every Work Package highlighted how individual contributions are being integrated into the overall roadmap, ensuring coherence and a shared vision for the project’s next steps.

Leitat played an active role in the Think Tank sessions, which included a workshop on the second day as part of the midterm evaluation. This interactive format encouraged partners to reflect on achievements and challenges to date, focusing on four core areas: stakeholder engagement, internal organisation, communication and dissemination, and project implementation. Insights from this exercise fed directly into a concrete action plan for the coming months.

A key discussion point was the synthesis of the different roadmaps, aimed at identifying knowledge gaps, analysing potential bottlenecks, and defining methodological recommendations to guide future actions across work streams.

The final half-day of the meeting was devoted to consolidating conclusions and ensuring that all partners left Lund with a clear set of priorities for the next phase of the project.

Looking ahead, the SOLO consortium is preparing to present its achievements from the first three years of the project to the European Commission by the end of 2025.
