Leitat participates in µTAS 2026 to showcase its applied bioengineering capabilities

Leitat is taking part in µTAS 2026 from 18 to 22 October in Granada. The conference brings together the scientific and technological community specialising in miniaturised systems for chemistry and the life sciences.

During the conference, Leitat is showcasing its capabilities in applied bioengineering, with a particular focus on technologies such as microfluidics, organ-on-a-chip systems and microphysiological systems, as well as their application in the development of new experimental models and advanced biomedical solutions.

Leitat’s participation includes two oral presentations within the scientific programme.

On 20 October at 12:30, Ester Planas-Rigol will present “Liver-on-a-Chip with Biomimetic Portal Circulation: Integration of Bioprinting and Microfluidics”, focusing on the integration of bioprinting and microfluidics for the development of advanced liver-on-a-chip models.

On 21 October at 12:20, Pooya Azizian will present “Bridging Throughput and Physiological Relevance in Organ-on-a-Chip”, introducing OGYX, Leitat’s organ-on-a-chip platform, which combines advanced biological models with high-throughput screening to support drug discovery and personalised medicine.

In addition, Leitat is participating in µTAS 2026 with four accepted abstracts and is present in the exhibition area at Booth 9, where it is showcasing its bioengineering capabilities and developments while connecting with researchers, companies and other stakeholders from the international ecosystem.

Leitat’s participation in µTAS strengthens its presence in the fields of bioengineering, microfluidics and advanced in vitro models, while providing an opportunity to share knowledge and explore new scientific and technological collaboration opportunities.
