Leitat strengthens its commitment to the digital and sustainable transformation of the industry by participating in the upcoming edition of Advanced Factories, the most prominent annual innovation fair for professionals in the Spanish industrial sector, which will take place from April 8 to 10 at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona. Leitat will play a key role as a Global Partner, lending its name to the main auditorium and actively participating in the conference agenda.
“Advanced Factories is the meeting point for companies that are committed to technological innovation and industrial competitiveness. Our presence as a Global Partner reflects Leitat’s role as a technology partner for the industry of the future,” says Jordi Cabrafiga, General Director of Leitat. “At Advanced Factories, we want to demonstrate how technology can accelerate the transition toward a more digital, sustainable, and competitive industry. We are here to connect, innovate, transform, and enhance the competitiveness of companies and organizations,” he adds.
The entity will have an 80 m² booth, which will serve as a meeting point for partners, clients, and attendees interested in discovering firsthand the latest technological prototypes developed by the center in Industry 4.0 and connecting with experts in advanced manufacturing, digitalization, robotics, and industrial sustainability, among others.
Leitat will present a selection of innovative projects in the field of Industry 4.0, highlighting advancements in digitalization and health monitoring, oxygen therapy systems, automated coatings, 3D printing, robotics, high-precision 3D scanning, microplastic detection, and advanced lubricants, among others. These prototypes represent a sample of the projects in which the entity is involved, both in the private sector and in public competitive initiatives at national and European levels. Furthermore, they reflect the technology center’s commitment to Industry 4.0 and the integration of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve efficiency and sustainability across various sectors.
Visitors will have the opportunity to attend live demonstrations of the prototypes and participate in meetings with more than 20 expert professionals from Leitat, who will be available to analyze and address their technological needs and challenges.
In addition to this exhibition, Leitat will play an active role in the Advanced Factories conference program, with several key presentations:
On the first day of the conference, April 8, Sergio Ibáñez Pérez, Market Director at Leitat, will give a presentation on digital innovation in the industry. The session will showcase success stories in the digital and Industry 4.0 sectors, demonstrating how Leitat’s innovations help companies optimize processes, improve productivity, and boost competitiveness in a constantly evolving market.
Later that day, in the afternoon, Dirk Saseta, Business and Operations Director at Leitat, will participate in a roundtable discussion on technology centers. The session will explore how these entities provide technological support and infrastructure to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to enhance their competitiveness and efficiency, accelerating their digital transformation through the adoption of advanced technologies.
Finally, on April 9, Òscar Alonso, ADDITIVE Area Manager at Leitat, will take part in a session on additive manufacturing. The discussion will focus on the challenges and opportunities associated with the expansion of these technologies, highlighting how companies are overcoming barriers to achieve large-scale production.
