MIXPAL

Mixed Collaborative Palletizing

BitMetrics and Leitat are jointly working on an innovative project aimed at improving robotic palletizing and depalletizing in collaborative environments. The objective is to enhance the existing “Pick [+] palletizer” solution with new capabilities that enable the automation of mixed processes that were previously not feasible, thereby opening new market opportunities.

The project focuses on the development of advanced algorithms for load optimization, position estimation, and pallet stability control, allowing the robot to handle objects of different shapes, weights, and positions without the need for custom programming. A collaborative mode will also be integrated, enabling humans and robots to work simultaneously and safely.

The main innovation lies in the ability to operate in online, offline, and hybrid contexts, with continuous monitoring of process stability and efficiency. Additionally, the solution will offer greater adaptability to environmental variability, combining the strengths of automation with the flexibility of human intervention.

This development represents a significant technological advancement in industrial and collaborative robotics, with a direct impact on operational efficiency and logistics process safety.
