Monitoring of Urinary Biomarkers in Bathrooms for the Non-Invasive Evaluation of Athlete Health and Performance
Abstract:
The OLYMPIA project aims to develop an innovative digital device capable of remotely, non-invasively, and comprehensively assessing the health status and performance of athletes through the analysis of urinary biomarkers.
The proposal is based on the development of a multiparametric system integrated into a smart toilet, enabling daily monitoring of vital parameters related to well‑being and physical performance. The combination of optical and electrochemical technologies in this device will ensure high sensitivity, accuracy, and efficiency in monitoring, with opportunities for miniaturisation and remote operation.
OLYMPIA represents a strong commitment to technological innovation in the fields of health and sports, providing a pioneering tool for the early detection of physiological imbalances and the optimisation of athletic performance.
