Rosa Escudero, Principal R&D Researcher at LEITAT, will speak at the SEPAWA Congress about the Mitigation of microplastics impact caused by textile washing processes. The SEPAWA Congress is one of the largest specialist associations in Europe, where experts from the detergents/cleansers, cosmetics, and perfume industries gather from all over the continent. Professionals from both small and medium-sized businesses and major companies, scientists from industry and the university sector, as well as representatives of authorities and consumer associations, use SEPAWA for dialogue and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas.
Rosa Escudero is leading the research activities of the Mermaids project within LEITAT and is head of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods department. Mermaids is a research project that contributes to the mitigation of the impact caused by micro and/or nanoplastic particles resulting from laundry wastewater on European seas’ ecosystems. The project demonstrates and implements innovative technologies and additives for laundry processes and textile finishing treatments.
