On May 27–28, 2025, the 9th face-to-face Consortium Meeting of the MEZeroE project was held at Tecnalia’s facilities in Bilbao. The event gathered all partners of the consortium to review progress, align on next steps, and strengthen collaboration within this ambitious European initiative. Leitat was represented by Mirco Riganti and Michele Manca.
Over the two days, the consortium shared updates on the overall status of the project and visited Tecnalia’s laboratories, where cutting-edge research and testing activities are being carried out. The discussions focused on advancing the development and validation of innovative solutions that contribute to the nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEBs) vision, which is at the core of MEZeroE.
For Leitat, the meeting marked the starting point of new tasks related to the validation of photovoltaic products, an essential step to ensure the reliability and performance of sustainable building technologies. To carry out this work, Leitat has already established connections with both national and European companies that will provide commercial photovoltaic products to be tested and validated under MEZeroE’s framework.
These activities will play a key role in demonstrating how the project can accelerate the adoption of innovative, market-ready solutions, reinforcing its objective of driving the transition towards carbon-neutral and healthier buildings across Europe.
