BATRAW project holds its 8th General Assembly

On 18th to 20th November, the BATRAW consortium met in Pamplona, Spain for its 8th General Assembly, a key milestone to review progress and accelerate innovation in battery recycling and the circular economy.

During the meeting, partners shared major technical achievements, including:

  • Progress on the automated battery disassembly pilot line using robotics and AI.
  • Strong performance of recycled graphite and NMC materials.
  • Sustainability assessment and eco-design work shaping future circular models.

An innovation workshop also took place, focusing on battery health evaluation, disassembly strategies, module identification and semi-automated dismantling — with contributions from BEEPLANET, CESVIMAP, LEITAT and COMANAI.

Participants visited BEEPLANET, COMANAI and INDUMETAL facilities to see firsthand the advances in diagnostics, semi-automatic disassembly and industrial recycling operations.

The project is now preparing for its final event in March in Madrid, where results and next steps for sustainable battery recycling in Europe will be showcased.
