- The President of the Parliament learned first-hand about the technological capabilities and key projects promoted by the technological centre.
Leitat welcomed the institutional visit of the President of the Parliament of Catalonia, Josep Rull i Andreu, during a visit focused on innovation, applied research and the role of technology centres in industrial competitiveness and regional development.
During the visit, Leitat’s General Director, Jordi Cabrafiga, presented the mission and main activity areas of the technological centre, highlighting its more than 120-year trajectory serving research, innovation and knowledge transfer to companies and society.
The visit provided an opportunity to share several projects and initiatives promoted by Leitat to strengthen competitiveness, efficiency, innovation and sustainability within the industrial sector, as well as the strategic role of technology in industrial and social transformation.
During his speech, Josep Rull i Andreu stated that “Leitat represents a Catalonia where technological innovation is not an option, but a non-negotiable strategic imperative”, highlighting values such as vision, ambition, boldness and generosity that have shaped the centre’s trajectory throughout its 120-year history.
