Leitat renews its commitment to the Diversity Charter

Within the framework of European Diversity Month, Leitat has once again renewed its commitment to the Diversity Charter, an initiative promoted in Spain by Fundación Diversidad that fosters equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The Diversity Charter is based on 10 European principles that reinforce the responsibility of organisations to build respectful, inclusive and discrimination-free working environments, regardless of gender, age, ethnic origin, disability, sexual orientation or any other individual, social or cultural condition.

Through this renewal, Leitat reaffirms its commitment to continuing to advance towards a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected, and where all people can develop their talent under equal conditions.

This commitment involves continuing to raise awareness of equality and respect for diversity, promoting inclusion, preventing any form of discrimination, and embedding diversity into people management policies, as well as into relationships with the wider environment and partner organisations.

In this regard, Leitat promotes a range of initiatives linked to Diversity and Inclusion, including internal training, the implementation of an Equality Plan with work-life balance measures adapted to the needs of its employees, collaboration with special employment centres, and awareness-raising sessions aimed at strengthening a more open, equitable and people-centred corporate culture.

The European Commission supports the work of the Diversity Charters across the European Union through the European Diversity Charters Platform and initiatives such as European Diversity Month. Renewing this commitment will enable Leitat to remain part of a community of public and private organisations that share common principles in the field of workplace diversity and inclusion in Europe.

Vanessa Rodríguez, Director of People and Organisation Development at Leitat, says: “At Leitat, we reaffirm our commitment to an open and inclusive culture that understands diversity as a driver of innovation. It is a key element in attracting and retaining talent, and essential to continue developing solutions focused on our clients’ needs, thereby generating a positive and sustainable impact on society.”
