Leitat showcases pilot plant progress at the NET-Fuels Consortium Meeting in Ravenna

On 23–24 June, the NET-Fuels consortium gathered in Ravenna, Italy, for the project’s Consortium Meeting (Month 44), bringing together partners to review the overall progress achieved and coordinate the final activities ahead of the project’s completion.

During the meeting, consortium members assessed the status of the different work packages, reviewed the project’s implementation, and discussed the remaining steps required to successfully achieve the project’s objectives before its conclusion.

Representing Leitat, Daniele Mologni and Maria Vega participated in the meeting. As leaders of Work Package 3 (WP3), they presented the progress of the ongoing deliverables and highlighted the positive performance of Leitat’s pilot plant, which is currently installed and operating at Fraunhofer facilities. The results presented demonstrated the successful advancement of the pilot activities and their contribution to the project’s overall objectives.

Following the Consortium Meeting, on 25 June, the NET-Fuels consortium organised the symposium “Biomass-Based Carbon Removal: Pathways to Gigaton-Scale Industrial Transition”. The event brought together researchers and experts from universities, research organisations and technology centres to exchange knowledge and discuss the role of biomass-based carbon removal technologies in accelerating the transition towards climate-neutral industry.

The meeting and the symposium provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaboration among project partners, share the latest technical achievements and align the final actions that will pave the way for the successful completion of the NET-Fuels project.
