Among the examples he shares are the development of solutions to valorise waste from olive oil extraction and turn it into new value-added products, as well as projects combining artificial intelligence and robotics to automate the dismantling of electric vehicle batteries and recover critical materials for the production of new batteries.
Jordi also highlights multidisciplinarity as one of the key strengths of technological centres. Engineers, physicists, chemists, biologists, and specialists in data and sustainability work together because today’s major technological challenges increasingly require the combination of different technologies and areas of expertise.
