Abstract:
The IMEXPROC-IA project aims to digitalize and optimize the customs processing of low-value packages, reducing time and improving the efficiency of a process that is currently mostly manual and insecure. It seeks to shorten the duration of operations (currently a minimum of 4 days in Spain) and manage higher volumes with the same human resources through the implementation of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and operator training.
The expected results include natural language processing (NLP) tools, interoperable middleware, and AI engines to automatically detect errors.
The project will be developed following a formal waterfall methodology, with activities managed in an AGILE manner, and is divided into four work plans: technical management, software research, AI and data analysis, and validation.
